As I write this, I’m still buzzing with the energy from last week’s 5th Annual Audacious Leaders Retreat. Every May, we gather in Transylvania overlooking Dracula’s castle, and every year I think it can’t get better. This year proved me beautifully wrong again.
This is not just a retreat, it’s a masterclass in human courage, connection, and the kind of transformation that happens when brave souls choose to leap together.
The Magic of Going First
Day one’s “Coaching on the Coach” journey through Romanian mountains set everything in motion. When I chose vulnerability first—sharing my own struggles and fears—something shifted. Strangers became family, and the foundation for extraordinary growth was set before we even reached our mountain hotel.
When Rain Became Our Greatest Teacher
Day two brought us a gift disguised as a challenge: mountain rain. Cold, relentless, and absolutely perfect. What could have derailed our plans instead became the backdrop for one of our most powerful lessons. Two brave souls decided to dip in the chilly river. Their courage was so contagious that within minutes, half our group was splashing alongside them—laughing, alive, and utterly fearless.
This is what happens when you surround yourself with people who dare greatly.
The Mystery That Changed Everything
Sometimes the biggest risks yield the most spectacular rewards. Bringing Luiza as our mystery guest was one of those beautiful gambles. Her breathwork session was mind-blowing. It reminded me why I trust my intuition, especially when it asks me to leap into the unknown.
When Dreams Become Reality Through Audacious Asks
Carmen’s moment of audacity was a huge breakthrough for all. Watching her make her audacious ask to become a certified energy healing teacher, and seeing our entire community rally to support her dream—this is why we do this work. When you’re surrounded by audacious believers, the impossible becomes inevitable.
The Perfect Balance of Energies
The harmony between masculine and feminine energies this year was extraordinary. Our bold men brought such beautiful balance to our circle, creating space for everyone to show up fully. This is leadership in its most authentic form—not dominating or diminishing, but elevating and empowering.
The Truth That Set Us Free
On our final day, I drew a card that read “Your imperfections are what make you absolutely perfect.” Surrounded by these incredible humans who had courageously shown up as their authentic selves, the message was crystal clear: our flaws aren’t bugs—they’re the features that make us beautifully, powerfully human.
Here’s What I Know for Sure
Readiness is an illusion. We don’t wait until we’re ready—we choose courage, we leap with faith, and we grow in the falling. Every person at this retreat proved that truth in their own beautiful way.
My incredible co-pilots, Tatiana and Carmen, proved once again that collaboration multiplies impact exponentially. What we created together was beyond what any of us could have imagined alone.
